Congress designated the federal territory of the District of Columbia on Feb. 24, 1801. The Senators beat the NY Giants in a 12 inning game to win their only World Series. Tricia Nixon was the first bride to be married at a White House outdoor wedding.
The British burned the Capitol and the White House on August 24, 1814. Maya Ying Lin designed the Vietnam Memorial while attending Yale University. The 23rd ammendment gave citizens of DC the right to vote for president in 1964.
Inside each crispy fortune cookie is one of over 100 different delightful sayings relating to the holiday, occasion or popular theme depicted on the outside of the colorful carry-out box.  There are nine individually wrapped cookies per box.  Each box is $5.85.  Minimum order is 12 boxes ($70.20).
